Interest in Chulk?

An unsubstantiated report -- the lifeblood of pre-July 31 chatter -- claims that the Philadelphia Phillies might have interest in trading for Vinnie Chulk, the right-handed reliever designated for assignment Tuesday by the Giants. Chulk's expected to clear waivers, so the Phillies won't get him in that manner. Chulk has pitched adequately in five career appearances against Philadelphia (0-1, 3.00 ERA), but it's not as if he has wowed them. He made a not-good/not-great appearance at Philadelphia on May 2, pitching two-thirds of a scoreless inning while allowing a hit and walking a batter.

These columns are great, and feature a lot of great insight, but for great fan interaction for ALL sports, please consider joining us at www.diehard101.com/phpfox

What we are doing, is preparing for a launch of the site, which is typically going to be a type of MySpace for sports, a social networking site for fans of all ages, covering every team, special events and news. We offer forums, blogs, featured articles, member interaction, trash-cam videos and much more.

July 31st, is a special time in baseball where some teams gain hope, and some teams show no signs of hope and sell everyone off, and we want you to be with us, sharing in the joy and agony of watching players on the move.

The site is in Alpha stages at the moment, and you will see a lot of issues being addressed. Once they are, the site goes Beta and that’s where you come in, to test it out, give feedback and tell us what you like or don’t like before we go live with a launch.

So if you are a diehard fan, we welcome you to join us at www.diehard101.com/phpfox

Thanks for your time!
