Jacobs for Molina?
Amid the rumblings that the Marlins may be acquiring Manny Ramirez, comes another potential trade that would reshape the ballclub. There is strong speculation that first baseman Mike Jacobs could be headed to the Giants for catcher Bengie Molina.
Jacobs was lifted from Wednesday's game against the Mets in the sixth inning for defensive purposes. Typically, the lefty hitter will be replaced no earlier than the seventh inning.
"It crossed my mind," Jacobs said when asked if he felt he was removed early because of a trade. "Nobody came and said anything."
Asked if he would be surprised if he is traded, Jacobs said: "I would not be surprised. Anything at this point wouldn't surprise me."

I know we need a catcher but i feel we are getting the short end, if we trade Jacobs use baker or trade minor we can never keep left handed power hitters keep and make bench strong......

totally getting the bad end of the trade. how are the marlins even srs with this serious with this trade?
jacobs has so much more to offer than molina ever can, plus Baker is way above average power hitting catcher in the making

Jacobs is such an offensive liability. The Fish need to trade him ASAP. His glove has lost more games then his bat has won!

This trade would make the Marlins better off, at least for this season. If they get rid of Jacobs they will get a catcher who they know will produce. This trade will allow Cantu who struggles defensively to move to first and the marlins would then be able to call up Dallas McPherson who's having an awesome season in the minors and would offset the power lost from trading Jacobs.

i think this is an awesome trade we need a good catcher and molina is an awesome producer I'm more stocked for this trade then the manny ramirez trade that might not happen.

along with the manny trade i also like this trade for the marlins like ianna said if this trade happens they can move Cantu to first, have Molina catch, and call up Dallas McPherson to man third once again i also like this trade...
P.S. World Series Prediction Rays and Marlins....an all FLorida Series lol...
