Ohman demand high

The Braves feel like they're in good position heading into Thursday's Trade Deadline.  More than five teams have shown great interest in Will Ohman and it's believed the Rays, Yankees and Red Sox are among those bidding for his services.

Despite late-Wednesday reports to the contrary, meanwhile, it appears very much that the Cardinals are out of the bidding for Ohman.

With these three AL East teams involved, the Braves may receive a greater return for the left-handed reliever than they originally envisioned.

Good. Will Ohman can greatly help out any team in contention and it is only fair that the braves recieve great compensation for this good pitcher. i thought he was going to the cardinals but if an AL East contender offers a better deal i say go for it!

Of course the Cardinals aren't interested in Ohman. I mean, why on earth would they want to be a better team?

Jeff: why would the cardinals want to be a better team? ill tell you why. becouse both the Cubs and Brewers are bettering themselves and if the cards dont keep up they are slowly gonna fall out of the race for the NL Cental.

I feel there was slight sarcasm in Jeff's comment. But on further note, I don't see the Cardinals doing better than the Brewers or Cubs, so although teams around them have made moves, a desperation move for a relief pitcher at the deadline could cost the Cards when in reality the team is not built for the long haul. I don't think they have the pitching to deal with other NL Wild Card Contenders. I would just wait a year until Colby Rasmus becomes Grady Sizemore, and they get all their pictchers like Carpenter back for a whole year. Pujols will continue to add fine print to his Hall of Fame Career, so yeah I don't concern to much. They won in 2006, so I mean they can wait for 2009. The team will be better suited for a run next year.

all i got too say is mo gotta go.
