7/30 Cubs/Pirates discussing lefties
The Cubs have reportedly stepped up their discussions with the Pirates regarding two left-handed pitchers, John Grabow and Tom Gorzelanny. Grabow could provide some help in the bullpen, which now has only one lefty in Sean Marshall. Gorzelanny was 4-3 with a 2.48 ERA in 15 starts at Triple-A Indianapolis.

If the Pirate organization keeps this pace, they will no longer be considered a Major League team. They should become someones farm team. All they want to do is groom players for other teams to use. They have no respect for their fans who come to the games or watch on TV. No one wants to support the team when they keep giving away their best talent. How can anyone expect this team to be competitive or at least finish above .500 for the first time in what seems like forever. Can anyone remember when the Pirates actually finished above .500 and not in the basement. Well if the management keeps giving away all the good players, that is where they will be forever. If I was a player who was drafted or being traded to Pittsburgh, I would seriously think about the consequences of playing for a constantly loosing team.
